Palantir.net: Front End Developer

Job Description:

Palantir.net is a renowned design, development, and strategy firm that uses open source technologies to help enable people to share information in new and exciting ways.

The position of Front End Developer has strong experience with standards-compliant, semantic HTML and CSS, experience in Sass and Compass, strong knowledge of JavaScript, DOM-scripting and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like JQuery. Experience with object-oriented CSS patterns, such as SMACSS and an understanding of the importance of WCAG 2.0 and ARIA guidelines is required. An ideal candidate will also have experience with responsive and “mobile-first” site development, and with templating systems like Twig and Liquid.

While your primary working environment will be a Mac, you will need to use Windows virtual machines and other browser/platform testing environments.

This is a full-time, on-site position in our Chicago office, though we will consider exceptional applicants for remote positions.
