Higher Education Summit
About the Higher Education Summit
The Higher Education Summit is a biannual bicoastal event bringing together peers from higher education institutions working with Drupal. The Higher Education Summit on the East coast is traditionally held in Spring/Summer, during NYC Camp, and on the West coast, in October, during BAD Camp. At last year's East coast convocation there were over 50 participants from schools across the North East including (in no particular order) Harvard, Yale, Brown, Columbia, Princeton, Stanford and NYU.
Drupal's versatility is transforming the way higher education uses technology and is being used in many different ways throughout universities: from public-facing university sites, library, and departmental websites, to intranets, learning management content repositories and communities, scholarly publishing, platforms for viewing books and photographs, and complete audio, video & multimedia collections.
If you're involved in higher education this will be an opportunity to discuss key topics with peers from other universities. See how colleagues are leveraging Drupal, solving common problems and doing similar integrations: with authentication and identity management systems, registry and student information systems, and learning management systems.
At the same time that the higher ed summit is convening, NYC Camp will also be hosting summits around other important topics such as media, devops, non-profits, business, etc. There will be opportunities to mingle and interact with the other summits throughout the day.

Who should attend?
This event is targeted to anyone who works with Drupal in the Higher Education space. Based on past years we have a mix of skill levels from beginner to expert, using various distributions and whose focus can range from front end design to dev-ops. We often find that in Higher-Ed we are forced to wear many hats and fill many roles.
Please share this event with anyone you think can benefit from participating!
Due to space issues, we may have to cap the attendance to 50 people this year. We are still currently assessing our options to ensure that this year's event continues to be a high quality and worthwhile Summit for everyone.
